Not receiving newsletters

  • I have not received your emailed newsletters for a few weeks - Im guessing that they are now sent via Redgate's servers in the UK vs your original location in the states?

We have rather strict ACLs for our SMTP that blocks most Class As registered outside the US, requiring us to create an allow for those.

WhoIs only shows Redgate.com in the RIPE 83.0.0.0 Class A.

Can you provide the IP range that Redgate uses?

  • Hi Tim

We did move the mail servers just before we migrated the web servers.

As you guessed these are now located in the UK, but on a high bandwidth/availability location with guaranteed latency to the US and the rest of the world.

The mail is now sent from fours servers all named appropriately mailer1.sqlservercentral.com , mailer2sqlservercentral.com , mailer3sqlservercentral.com , and  mailer4sqlservercentral.com.

These all have reverse lookups (ptr) and spf information in the dns records.

The ip addresses for the newsletter mailers are:

    mailer3 89.234.60.67

    mailer4 89.234.60.73

    Regards

    Dan
