The xml contains
<string><User ><Applications>App</Applications></User></string>
Actually in notepad it conains lt & gt instead of greater then ,lesser then symbol like (< >)
Please anybody help.why its not able to read by xml source in ssis.

Sorry...when I typed it, it didn't look like that!
What I was trying to say was that "<" isn't the same as & lt ; which means that if in notepad you don't have a document with < and > then you don't have an xml document which explains why ssis can't process it.

Thank u very much david.what u meant is "& lt " is not equivalent to < na.So that is not a xml only na.Thats why its not reading na .
