Repoting Services Web logon credentials are differenct from DB engine credentials. You need to provide any user configured for Reporting SErvices. Also, check in brower-> tools->Internet options-> connections tab and chec kwehther localhost is included in the list of urls for "By pas poxy server".
Go to IISAdmin and ight click on the RepotSErver virtual directory and check the permissions on which user account it is configured

Thanks,
I check the following:
In IIS Manager:
ReportServer->RightClick->Permissions -> here the following accouts are there
Administrators,Creator Owner, SQLServer2005ReportingServicesWebServiceUser$Servername$MSSQLSERVER (Servername\SQLServer2005ReportingServicesWebServiceUser$Servername$MSSQLSERVER ), SQLServer2005ReportingServerUser$Servername$MSSQLSERVER (Servername\SQLServer2005ReportingServerUser$Servername$MSSQLSERVER), System, Users (Servername\Users)
So out of the above what should I use for the Username and password below:
Now I had browse the url http:/servername/reports and http:/servername/reportserver and its asking as below:
SQL Server Reporting services Logon
Usename
Password

You can give either of the accounts. Give administrator(machinename/administrator) and password. Try to bowse from InetMgr.
Also, ceate dummy website or virtual dir under iss and put a sample html page and try accessing it in the url. If still suername password is asked, then some prob with IIS/poxy config

What OS are we operating on here? Is it an actual server or a workstation? If it's Win XP you might try to disable simple file sharing. View this Support article and see if it helps. It did me. I ran into the same issue.
