Not able access report using server name but can access using IP address

  The question is URL (intranet app) with the IP address is working for users but the 'page not found (505)' error comes when the same users clicks on the URL that has the same address with with the actual server name. In addition, the same users are able to ping the actual server name. can any one help me the regarding this.

  sounds like a dns issue, modify the host file and see if that fixes it:
