I have 2 instances of SQL 2000 running on my laptop. The default instance is fine, however the second instance keep triggering Norton's Internet Worm Protection feature. I have installed the Service Pack 3a and the critical update.
The Norton Security alert lists my IP address as the Remote Address a different port each time and UDP as the protocol. I have tried both the block and the permit options (permit was when I was not connected to internet or a network).
I don't seem to recall this happening in the past though this is a fresh install of both instances of SQL.
Any assitance would be appreciated.

Try to instruct the AV about your second SQL's port
