Non-Techie Needs to Manage Permissions

  Hi,

  My web host provides a database, but requires me to manage the permissions.  I can connect with ASP.NET Enterprise Manager, but I can't seem to get it to do anything.

  What I think I need to do is to give execute permissions to a specific login.  I managed to find the screen in ASP.NET Enterprise Manager that says Edit Login.

  When I enter the authentication info and then try to add various server roles, it gives me an error saying I don't have permission to do that.

  I don't have the money to by MSSQL Enterprise Manager.  Can anyone tell me how to use ASP.NET Enterprise Manager to accomplish what I need?  It doesn't seem to have any online help, and even the screen icons don't have text alternatives, so I'm playing trial and error, with no success so far.

  I unfortunately do not work with asp.net but would recommend looking at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/default.mspx

  If all else fails, chat to you provider and ask them to assign you a sysadmin role.
