Suddenly got struck in a confusion(I might be wrong too). I will really thank and appreciate any light sheds.
AWE is non-pageable? right. It means it cant be hard-fault. Then why we need LOCK PAGE in MEMORY?

The Lock Pages in memory privilege allows SQL to allocate memory that is not pagable. That memory is allocated with the AWE APIs (no matter if it's 32-bit or 64-bit)
Hence, without the lock pages privilege, SQL cannot allocate AWE memory and hence its memory will be pagable.
