Non Local Data Sources and SQL Versions

    Microsoft only seems to have links to 2012 .. I know that if you install 2005 express you are only able to have reporting services connect to local data sources..and I need to connect to a different server, and Instance. I know Enterprise supports this, but does Standard?

    With the links to 2012, I suppose you're talking about the MSDN articles? At the top of the article, you can change the version.

    Standard edition supports connections to different servers.
