No option to install Reporting Services

    i had it installed on Windows 2000, but tried to install SQL 2005 on a Windows 2003 R2 SP2 server. For some reason even though I have IIS installed the option to install Reporting Services is greyed out. During the pre-installation check it passes all the tests.

    Has anyone seen this before?

    Do you have ASp.net installed on your IIS ?

    That's a requirement for RS.

    yes

    double checked in the windows components and ASP.NET is installed. I even installed smtp and a bunch of other IIS components. I think i will try uninstalling IIS and reinstalling it to see if it works.

    uninstalling and reinstalling IIS solved it

    i think it was caused by SP2
