Hi all,
When trying to view the contents of a Transform Data Task by double clicking it, I get a messagebox saying 'An error was returned without an error message', and the task properties do not open. Is this the most useless message ever or what? And is there any way I can access the properties of the task? I suspected the package had become corrupt, but trying to create a new DTS with a simple Transform from one server to another gave the same problem. Can anyone throw me a clue?
Cheers
Geraint

Though i have never encountered that message, I have had problems like that in the past.
Have you examined the source and the destination to make sure they are active and responsive? If either of those two have issues then you could possibly get an eror like you did.
What are the source and destinations?

Thanks for the reply
The source connection is CONNX32 linking to a dataflex database and the destination is a SQL Server table. Although I thought I had sorted this problem (one of the tables in the data transformation was NULL) it continues to happen with other packages. Both connections are active and haven't shown problems of this kind before. On a possibly related note, we recently doubled the amount of RAM in our SQL Server. I've heard people complain of stramge behaviour when increasing the amount of RAM used. Is this possible or just speculation?
Thanks
Geraint
