No Activity in the results pane

  • Is there a way to turn off the message in the enterpise manager that bsically says:

    There has been no activity with the results pane for 5 minutes.  Choose yes to continue working with this result set.  If no the result pane is cleared.

    This is happening on the dev server and I would like to keep the result set for longer then 5 minutes.

    It there a setting where this behavior can be changed.

  • I don't know of any way this setting can be changed....you can work with QA instead as an alternative...the results don't vanish annoyingly every 5 minutes...

  • And you're safer in doing so... if you get into the habit of using EM for queries, you may end up doing it on a production server, which may have bad side effects if you change a column value in the grid and whack a change that a user might just have made.  We've also seen some tools, e.g. Crystal Reports, stop working properly when a table grid is displayed in EM.  probably a locking issue.

    Stick with QA.
