Newbie Question about replying to a post

  • Is there any difference between using the "Reply+" button next to a specific post and the "Add Reply" button at the bottom? Conceptually, I assume that the former would be a reply to a specific post, while the latter is to the general topic, yet visually they seem to produce the same thing.

    Thanks!

  • No difference. This forum software allows for multi-threaded posts (replying to a specific post), but we have removed that. All discussions are single threaded to avoid confusion.

Clicking the QUOTE button creates a "quote window" like that above with all of the text from a particular post... and, it can be edited.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

  • Also, please edit it to the relevant part of the post you want to quote. You don't need to quote everything.
