i am planing to setup new sql server and in the process of gathering requirements to setup powerfull sql server. To start with could someone let me know what aspects i have to look into. currently what i have is
1.data might grow more than 1 TB
2. specially used for ETL
3. Looking for better performance, this will be not be a OLTP envoronment but may be more of OLAP
Can you guys share any document for gathering requirements specs.

it depends. maybe you are looking for high availability? or you want to be more proactive on your monitoring tasks ? there are many options - give us more informations.
