I have a project with 14 reports, and I want to add a 15th, based on one of the existing reports. I can open Report_1 and do "save as" report_15, but it seems as though it just renames report_1 to report_15, not creating a new one as I would expect "save as" to do (as it does in the rest of the world).
I'm very new to RS, so maybe I'm just missing something obvious. TIA

You can just go to the location you have the report RDL files saved and copy report_1.rdl and paste it back into the location then rename it report_15.rdl. Then in report project use Add existing item to select the "new" report.

In the Solution Explorer select "Report_1" and press Ctrl+C, now click in Reports and press Ctrl+V, this will generate the report "Copy of Report_1", only rename the "Copy of Report_1" to "Report_15"
I hope this will help you
