New Register server Error - help

  • Hi friends,

    Server A,

    OS win server 2008 R2 enterprise edition 64 bit and SQL 2008 enterprise edition with sp1 64 bit.

    Server B,

    OS win server 2003 enterprise edition 32 bit, and SQL 2008 enterprise edition with sp1 32 bit.

    Both server i have checked thru server configuration tools -> sql server config manager-> protocols for MSSQLSERVER everthings is enabled like 1.shared memroy, 2. named pipes, 3. TCP/IP even port 1433 also checked it is enabled.

    Problem Cause, I could not able to register in server 'B' from Server 'A', I faced these Microsoft sql server Error number - 5, 40, 1326.

    please help me give correct sloution for register error free.

  • Can you supply a little more info on the error. Check the SQL server and Windows event logs

    An error has occured whil establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2008, this failure may be casued by the fact that under the default settings dose not allow remote connection.(Provider : Named Pipes Provider, error:40-Could not open a connection to SQL Server)(Microsoft SQL Server Error : 5)”

    One thing I can able connect SQL 2000 db in server 'B', but sql 2008 i could not connect, I think SERVER 'A' port is not communicate with SERVER 'B', i checked configuration tools 1433 port is enabled in server 'A".

    so please send me possible solutions which i can try.
