A user created several dts jobs for us. Now he is in a new, fully trusted domain. If I try to delete his old user id from SQL security, the system threatens to reassign his jobs to the sa account. Hpw can I assign the jobs to his new userid so I can safely remove his old one. We use SQl 2000 and windows authentication.
Thanks for any assistance

Have him open them and save as .dts files. (structured storage). Then open them back up with the new user.
OR reassign to sa and do the same thing.

Use the sp_reassign_dtspackageowner stored procedure in msdb to change ownership to his new login.

Not being a wiz at running stored procedures and figuring out the correct parameters, I used Steve's idea. It reassignes the owner to the current user's account. Seems to do the job nicely.
