Job Description and Duties:
Responsible for all SQL Server database administration including physical database architecture design physical database design, database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and assistance with SQL development as it pertains to performance tuning.
Required Skills:
A qualified candidate will have the following skills:
·Extensive experience with physical design and performance tuning of MS SQL Server.
·Must have 5 to 7 years of documented work experience with the actual job title of SQL Server DBA.
·The ability to code complex, but efficient, SQL statements in addition to performing traditional database administration responsibilities.
·Excellent interpersonal communications: manage stress and conflicting priorities to avoid conflict.
·Team player who does not mind being required to write some SQL code occasionally. Interpersonal communications skills will be important to interact with peers and executive staff including the CEO.
