I am new to this forums. I am learning sql server 2000. I want to know which book could be good to learn sql server 2000. I need examples so that I can practice them. I want to learn mainly programming sql server using T-SQL like programming stored procedures, Triggers, Indexes etc. Can you please mention which book could be good for me?

I suggest two books, one free and one not...
1. MS SQL Server's Books OnLine (BOL).
You can download this from Microsoft's SQL Server website:
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/techinfo/productdoc/
2000/books.asp
2. Ken Henderson's The Guru's Guide to Transact-SQL is an excellent book.

To add to SQLBill you might find Tom Moreau and Itzik Ben-Gan's 'Advanced T-SQL' book useful.
Personally I think it's better than Henderson's one.
