  I am trying to install 'SQLServer2008SP1-KB968369-x86-ENU' before installing SQL Server 2008 windows 7. System is throwing error message. Plz help

  Let me see if I understand.. you are trying to install that BEFORE you install SQL? If so, you will NEVER succeed. It is a service pack to SQL 2008, SQL must be installed first.

  Install SQL Server, ignore the warnings, and then install SP1.
