HI, I am trying to setup Merge publication between two SQL Server 2005 but its not working. My main server HKDD01 is set as distribution and the other server is LDDD01 is set as the subscriptions. On both of the server I have made a user called sync and give them administrator rights. Back into the main server HKDD01 in the security login tab I have create two new user one is the system user HKDD01\sync and sync same goes for the LDDD01. I also have install IIS / FTP and Map a drive to the directory C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\repldata. Both FTP and the Map Drive are pointed to that directory. I made a new publication in the main server HKDD01 called Test1 and assigned to a table in my database. I am trying to do a push subscription. On the Agent Security I put HKDD01\Sync and the password and it works so I right click on Test1 and click on View snapshot agent status it made a snapshot file. Now onto my second server LDD01 I right click on the Table1 and click on New subscription and located my Test1 and then I select the push subscriptions. Then I added the LDDD01 to the subscribers and subscription database and click next. In the Agent Security I put the connection to publisher as HKDD01\sync and the Connection to Subscriber SYNC and click next after that it say success. When I right click to check the subscriptions by view synchronization status a error came up. The Agent has never been run. I been on this for about two weeks now can some one please help me out or give me a guide on how to set up a Merge publication between two server thanks.
