I am doing an inplace upgrade on one of our servers from 7.0 to 2000. I get through almost the entire process and when it is running upgrade scripts I receive the following error: Error running script: sp_vupgrade_replication(1). It then kicks me out of the installation program. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can correct this? I tried finding the error on technet but it was not there. Hopefully someone here has run into this before.

Tried running the script manually to see where it breaks?

No, I have not tried that. I have never done that before. Do you have any instructions on how I would do that?

Ok, here is some more info. I reran the installation and it goes through all 17 of the scripts. It then brings up a window saying setup is initializing server for upgrade process. It sits at this window for awhile and then it gives the error: Error running script sp_vupgrade_replication (1).
