need guidance on reposting

  • hi one of the forums i use is specifically for netsuite.    i do not recall if its only for oracle customers.  i get the sense that the traffic there isnt heavy and you have to be somewhat lucky to catch the eye of someone who knows an answer to your question.

im getting the sense they arent going to figure out the answer to my question.  i cannot find my issue on the web.   i get the sense i could end up being luckier posting the same question here just due to reader traffic.

i do not want to be banned from either forum.  i think deleting a post is not allowed there but deleting a comment/response is.   can the community guide me?

  • Thanks for posting your issue and hopefully someone will answer soon.

This is an automated bump to increase visibility of your question.

To be clear, do you mean the forum is on this SQLServerCentral site?  If so, could you provide a link to the question you'd like to repost?

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

  • hello i was redirected here somehow  https://www.sqlservercentral.com/forums/topic/forum-etiquette-how-to-post-datacode-on-a-forum-to-get-the-best-help   .

this is appreciated but i feel i am pretty good at all the guidelines that are posted there.

in this case a proctor at the other forum has already stated she suggests i call "support" on ssms and she is ok with me going to a different forum.   i am not going to call support on ssms.  this isnt about getting to the top of a list or being impatient or lazy.   this is about getting on the right list.

is there a way i can get the attention of someone with authority at this forum?  i've already posted some very informative code at the other forum and waited long enough for someone other than the proctor there to respond.
