It would be nice to get a single BI main heading that would contain SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, DW Design and perhaps break it down by version 2005 and 2008 So a total of 7 forums under BI.
Currently there is a BI forum under SQL2005, an SSIS forum under 2005, an SSIS forum under data warehousing, and there is a lot of BI postings under SQL2008 general.
It would be nice to have a single location that everyone uses for BI stuff.
Thanks

not a bad idea, but that would mean I'd have to make 2-3 levels of forums. I'm trying to keep things listed at two. So I have main forums for Warehousing/BI and for SSRS. Not sure how I can get all of those into one area, but I could combine them.
Is there a compelling reason for this? Seems like lots of SSRS and SSIS specialties.

Steve I understand not wanting too many levels. My main reason is that the activity for bi forums is spread across multiple areas and these are generally lower activity so I feel that people are not connecting with each other.
Overall I can't say enough about SSC it's been and continues to be great resource for myself and members of our team.
Thanks,
Tom

I'll stick it in the back of my mind and see if we can better group these together. Maybe a forum with all BI topics and then sub topics for SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, etc?
It seems we have a call almost equally for separate topics and also for combined topics.
I don't know what percentage of people browse the different forums v use something like Active Threads or the newsletter to find questions.

If it helps I'm almost exclusively active thread.
