I'm looking for a good (and of course cheap) web hosting company. I need to
the above is the best offer I've found yet. Anything better?

In comparison based on the link, yes, hosting does seem more expensive in the US. Wow.

hey, now I'm impressed.
Until your post I thought, when someone mentioned an expensive, unfriendly service desert country, he must be speaking of Germany. But it's really a suprise you say that in dot com's bubble own country, hosting is more expensive.
Although the price in the offer isn't unusual, what really impresses me is that you have half a gig of webspace and 7 !!! db's. Should be more than enough for quite a while!

forget this offering !
The company went out of business. They don't host private sites anymore, only commercial.
But I found something new, and thought I tease you a little bit
Take a look at http://www.internetspeicher24.de/ . I choose 'Juniorhosting'.
