  I was wondering if anyone out there has any thoughts and or documentation concerning acceptable naming conventions for database users (i.e. the users you create for accessing the DB in a connection string). Thanks in advance for any info the you all are able to provide...

  Not really.

  Other than keep them consistent and not obvious.

  The more important thing,I think, would be to have a really strong password.

  Keep the login and the user the same if possible to reduce issues when troubleshooting.

  I'd go with what your company uses for email names
