My Website's ready!

  • Hey, All,

I've finally finished my website design. Nothing fancy, but I'm pretty happy with it. Take a look, let me know what you think. If you have problems with viewing it, etc., tell me what the problem is and what browser / browser version you were using when you looked at it.

And if you want me to link to a review of one of my SQL Articles (or even of my fiction work), PM me or post in this thread. I like positive or even constructive reviews. I do ignore flames, though.

  • It looks nice in IE7.

It did not survive Chrome all that well - the line under the welcome message is through the text.

The links moving around depending on which is selected feels weird to me.

  • OK, I didn't get you feedback before, but I'm taking 10 minutes to do it now. Apologies for my slackness, but Merry Christmas.

Picture looks great, layout is fine, though I might shrink the picture the left to get the menu smaller.

Line goes through the title on Firefox 3 as well. the line below the works also goes through that text.

Nice set of articles and presentations. Glad you're linking the PPTs up there. Be sure you include code where appropriate.

Overall, a nice site. Hopefully we'll see more up there in the future!

  • It looks very good. Nice job.

  • I think I've fixed the line & title problem. Could you take a check?

I'll work on the image to the left when I have a breather (wrote 20-30k worth of fiction this month... Boy, are my fingers tired!).

Hopefully I'll have more to add to the website in a few months. Depends on if my proposals go through. @=)

    Thanks for looking at it.

Good lord Brandie, how do you find the time to do all of this stuff?

It's a really nice website, uncluttered and elegantly laid out. There are still one or two typos in there...

As far as time... I'm a TechnoGeek. What TechnoGeek doesn't have time? After all, none of us on this forum has a social life, right? @=)

Actually, you'd be amazed at how easy it is to take 5 minutes here, 10 minutes there and put something together. It does require the sacrifice of some video game and television time, though.

  • Nice site.

I like changing career gears. the wording will keep motivated in work.

    Thanks for sharing this.

  • On Jan 2 at 6:30 AM MST using IE6 all I get is this

    The page cannot be displayed

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

  • Thanks for telling me, William, but the problem doesn't appear to be my website. It looks like the hosting server is down.

I'm going to call tech support shortly if it doesn't resolve soon.
