We are expecting that file has created and somebody has deleted..Will it not break the sequence chain if I again issue the differential backup...We take the differential backup on daily basis and a full backup on sunday.
Thanks

Huh?
If you've got questions, please ask them clearly.

Differential backups contain data from the Last FULL backup till the differential backup completes and does not depend on previous differential backup.
This happens in transaction log backups which are dependent on previous log backup and hence chain must be unbroken.
If someone has deleted diff backup, take a fresh one.

Pradeep It is really sad ,I know all this still how all this happen, why dba's always think of the breakup of the chain sequence? While in differential backup chain doen't matter.Correct?
Edit: Tlogbackup is not scheduled due to SLA.
Thanks

Differential backups are independent of other differential backups and depend on the previous full backup.
