Greetings,
I have looked at the documentaiton from microsoft regarding the upcoming changes to the Daylight Savings Time date changes. As far as I can tell, as long as the O/S is patched SQL Server will handle the date changes correctly. I would appreciate any feedback others may have on thiws question.
Thanks.

Microsoft will only be producing patches for XP, Vista, and 2003 Server. There will be no patches for Windows 2000.

Here is a link a free utility that will handle the DST time zone updates for windows machines running XP, NT, 2000, 2003, Vista. It updates Daylight Saving Time in these time zones:
-Alaska Standard Time Zone
-Central Standard Time Zone
-Eastern Standard Time Zone
-Mountain Standard Time Zone
-Pacific Standard Time Zone
-Atlantic Standard Time Zone (Canada)
-Newfoundland Standard Time Zone (Canada)

Greetings, I am a bit confused, at one point you state there will be no patches for Windows 2000 and later list patches including those for Windows 2000. Still my question, will there be specific patches for SQL Server or will updating the O/S take care of the problems?
Thanks.

SQL Server gets it's time from the OS, so there's no patch for SQL Server.

As I said the first time, Microsoft will only be producing patches for XP, Vista, and 2003 Server.
There will be no patches for Windows 2000, and I did not list any patches for Windows 2000.
There are other ways to apply the DST changes, and I gave you some links that explain how to do this.
