Hi guys,
I'm upgrading a few servers to 2017 and I'm stuck on SSRS. We have a few servers with multiple SSRS instances on one box currently, but SSRS 2017 doesn't seem to allow you to install to anything except one default SSRS instance.
Am I missing something, or did Microsoft remove an incredibly basic and important feature? Is there some hidden command line to let you specify an instance?
I didn't even consider this possibility when planning and provisioning servers...if I have to have an entirely separate server for each SSRS instance, that blows up the scope for this project.

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious. That seems incredibly shortsighted. Even without licensing issues, we still have to run an entirely separate windows install with allocated cpus, ram, 60+gb hd space each, plus maintain each one with patches/etc. I have no idea what they were thinking.

No Worries...
I believe they will get it back but it may take a bit of time...and may cost a bit more...
