Multi-Server Test Environment - ay issues I should know about?

  Hello,

  I'm thinking about making use of an old PC I have at home to use to practice and learn about multi-server features like log shipping, replication, distributed queries etc.

  However, before spending any time or money on doing so I need to know whether I'l even be allowed to use the features using the proposed configuration described below.

  Both PC's are running Windows Professional (32-bit) and will use SQL Server 2008R2 Developer Edition. They will be connected via gigabit Ethernet as a small workgroup (No domains etc - only a simple home network).

  Is there going to be any reason why I will not be able to utilize the features mentioned above?

  Any guidance appreciated.

  You should be able to use all those features with the hardware you've mentioned.
