  Hi all,

  On my old server I created a maintenance plan including 3 jobs. Later I had a new server and replaced the oid server. The old server was gone. On the new server everything is there. Later I decided to delete the maintenance job. By right clicking the plan I deleted the plan.

  The funny thing is when I check the job,

  all 3 jobs under that plan were still there.

  and I can't delete these jobs. The error message is:

  Server: Msg 14274, Level 16,State 1,Procedure sp_delete_job, Line 86

  Cannot add, update, or delete a job (or its steps or schedules) that originated from an

  MSX server.

  I know the problem is someone set the old server as master and the new as target. But right now the old one has gone. How can I delete

  the 3 jobs. Othewise they run everyday and shown the job failed.

  You could try sp_msx_defect. Look it up in BOL.

  Just make sure your jobs don't get gunned down by the reds as they climb over the wall
