MSSQL 6.5 server Crash

    MSSSQL 6.5 server is crashed . The latest backup was taken last night. One day data has been entered . Is there any way to retrive data from the dat files similar to sp_attach_single_file_db or sp_detach_db command in SQL 6.5 or is there any alternative

    Yes and no. In v6.5, it is easier to work with the system tables, but it can be tricky. Is there a reason you don't do a restore?

    You can make a new server, add the database with the same size and location., then shut down teh server and replace the files. Should work, but might not.
