Hi All,
When trying to execute a SSIS package with transactions required, I get the following error.
Error: The SSIS Runtime has failed to start the distributed transaction due to error 0x8004D027 "MSDTC was unable to read its configuration information.". The DTC transaction failed to start. This could occur because the MSDTC Service is not running.
The MSTD service is already running. I can create a distributed transaction from withing SQL but not when SSIS is trying to do it.
Anyone ideas?
Cheers,CrispinI can't die, there are too many people who still have to meet me!It's not a bug, SQL just misunderstood me!

Hi
I had this problem and resolved it be stopping and re-starting MSDTC.
Go figure!

I did a net stop / start on MS DTC and that worked for me.

I tried all of the above solution recommendations but I still get thesame error. The only thing that may be different is that I am running in a 64bit machine. I ran my SSIS package in a 32bit and it runs successfully. Anybody have trouble with running in 64bit?
Thanks in advance.
