Hi,
can someone enlighten me please.
Can I install MSDE on Windows 98 SE.
I have installed it on my own PC (XP Pro). When I try to connect through Enterprise Manager, when I register the local server, I have to use Windows Authentication. If I try to use SQL Server authentication, it comes up with an error message saying Not associate with a trusted account. Can someone help me with this one.

Right click on the server in Enterprise Manager, select properties and click on the Security tab. I suspect it says Authentication Windows only. If you want to use SQL ids , you must select SQL Server and Windows. You may need to restart SQL Serv4er for this to take effect. If this isn't the case let me know.
