Hi List,
I manage some 20 MSDE on remote clients using a central SQL SERVER - Enterprise edition. I have configured all the necessary protocols and 19 of them work well and I can connect to them using my central Enterprise manager. I tried to work around to find why the one is not accepting when I try to login. I checked out if this particular one is running on a remote client and it is indeed running. To my surprise, it does not allow remote login. I also tried to connect using SSMS from another machine.
I would be very grateful if anyone could give me hint to keep on trying to connect to this rigid client.

Be sure remote logins are enabled. I think they're disabled by default.
Also check the proper network protocols are enabled.
