have a SQL Server 2000 msdb marked as "(Suspect)". It is in a test server that is mirrored from a production server. Right now that test server cannot save DTS packagea in SQL2000 and cannot open in SQL2005. What is the simplest way to repair the "suspect" msdb so as to allow DTS packages to be saved and its databases to open in SQL2005. Thanks.

I have a queston and hopefully its not offensive.. but the obvious is this.. Do you have any previous backups of your system databases? If so you can restore the latest msdb and bring yourself close to "up to date" hopefully. If that dont work for you the only other suggestion i have is using this sp_resetstatus [ @DBName = ] 'database'... not sure if this is still available tho.
Good Luck
