msdb and master database backup

    Hi,

    I read couple threads here regarding the issues with backing up msdb and master databases. What I would like to know is, how do you set these databases in full recovery mode and not let them change back to simple recover mode.

    I changed the msdb database to full recovery and it would change back to simple mode. Is there a reason why this might be happening?

    Generally you can keep all system databases in simple mode.  Then back them up once a day, or whenever there are direct changes them, such as adding a service pack.
