Hi Shiv
I hope you are upgrading your SQL Server from RTM version to SP2 or SP3.
The below are the steps followed.
1.Make sure you have recent backups for all databases(system, user dbs).
2.A windows login ID with administrative access(better to use SQL service account).
3.The login ID should have sysadmin access over SQL Server.
4.Make sure you have SQL Server dumps as well.
5.Stop all SQL Services(MSSQL Server,Agent,browser etc).
6.If needed go head of pre-reboot of sql server.
7.Start applying SQL Server service pack.
8.Once after completion reboot the server once again.
Whether were you looking for applying service pack steps or migration.

So you want to remove SP3 and revert back to SP2 ? I would not call that a "migration" .. more like uninstall or rollback.
Some service packs cannot be uninstalled . What does the SP3 documentation say ?
Why do you want to do this ?

I too agree same as of above.
Once SQL Server 2005 SP3 has been applied, it cannot be removed without uninstalling the entire SQL Sever.
To remove SP3 and revert to the previous version of SQL Server 2005
Using Add or Remove Programs, uninstall the instance of SQL Server 2005 .
Reinstall SQL Server 2005.
Apply SP and any hotfixes that were previously installed.
