My server guy installed Project 2007 last night and during installaion 10 new sql databases were created. I'm wondering if anyone has used 2007 and can tell me if this is normal and are all 10 really needed. I think I'm going to tell him to back out and sit through a new install with him, but just curious if anyone else has been through it?
Thanks!

I have not used it but it depends on what your employer does for a living my former employer had hundreds of projects in a few hundred databases because Projects uses both ends of the relational model Algebra and Calculus that is the reason Microsoft went with default template databases because PMPs are not Project Server Admins and Project Server Admins are usually relationally limited the reason my employer had a SQL Server Developer and Project Server Admin who is also PMP certified so she manages all the other PMPs with projects running system wide. I was a .NET developer using Oracle 10g down the hallway. One more thing crafty Microsoft in the past hides most cubes as .sql files so if you are not like me, a call to Microsoft consulting is normal part of doing business. Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
