I'm not able to see microsoft ole db provider for odbc drivers on sql server 2005. Anyone know which driver I should install to see it?
I'm trying to create a linked server from as400 to SS2K5.

from sql server 2005 every thing is Native SQL client & what you are looking for is it within Start---Admin tools---- ODBC Config. or are you trying to some DTS thing(SSIS).

You should make sure you have the latest version of MDAC installed.

Are you using SSMS to create the linked server? If you are it should be in the provider drop-down box. I had to scroll down to the 11th one on my server.

You need to do some goggle for AS400 whether you need to install Driver on AS400 or does AS400 provides this driver. For e.g. Sybase we have to install ASE Driver on SQL Server, if i have to make Linked server connection from SQL Server to Sybase Server.
I think it should be something like that.
