MS KB 944099 or Error message when you use the System.Data.SqlClient managed data provider to connect to an instance of SQL Server 2005

  Hi,

  I'm receiving, Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 16. This fix, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/944099, looks like it applies as I am running DB Mirroring.

  The MS article applies to .NET Framework 2.0 SP1

  I'm running the following

  .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2

  .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2

  .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1

  I've looked through the links on this page http://support.microsoft.com/kb/959209 and am having a hard time telling if KB 944099 is included in any of those current versions of the .NET Framework.

  Anyone puzzled this out yet?
