We have a table from which only one column has been revoked from a database role.
Now, when we try to attach that table in MS Access (with ODBC, using a user in that role), it doesn't show up in the list.
Anyone has an idea why?
We will probably end up using a view (without the column) but I wanted to know if anyone has another solution.
Thanks!

You are right, it does not work.
You can create a view, preferably an Indexed View if the table is large.
I tried to find out why Access is limited but I was unsuccessful.
Perhaps I should have searched more but this is a mystery to me for I have been working with Access since 2.0 ( I hate to admit that).
Please try and if you run into issues I will try to assist you.

Thank you for your reply. I've searched a little on the web but found nothing about that problem.
We have decided to create a view and informed the users of the situation. It's not that big of a table (< 25k rows) and only used in reports (MS Access) but we'll keep on eye on performance just in case it needs indexing.
Thanks again!
