MS Access Datasource - Could not use ''''; file already in use.

    Hi,

    I receive the following error:

    Could not use ''; file already in use.

    When attempting to extract data from a MS Access datasource.

    Is there anyway to specify to DTS to get the data anyway?

    Are you using a MS Access front end file to run the DTS? If so, is it possible that one MS Access front end file has been opened more than once? You will receive the "file already in use" error if a single file is opened more than once (either one user has two instances of the same file opened, or two seperate users try to open the same file).

    Another possibility, following on from what cherbik mentioned:  Make sure that everyone's opening the Access front end file in Shared mode rather than Exclusive.
