Hi Experts,
We are building a new stronger server than the current and we are to move our Production SQL 2014 to the new server also will be running SQL2014.Can i reuse the same licence on the new server?

SQL Server is licenced on a per core basis so you need to make sure your new server has the same number of cores as the old server otherwise you will need to pay for the additional licences.
It's always best to check with your licence provider to make sure you are covered.

Cores:12
So how many licences do i need, i am trying to understand how the licencing works,i am new to SqL

As I mentioned it's always best to speak to your licence provider to get this as licensing can be a minefield.
