Hey guys...is it the same steps to move user databases(IE detaching the DB, moving the files and attaching it again) on a clustered active/passive environment to a non-clustered one?
Thanks,
Dex

Well i'm just planning to move the log files to a different drive for performance on an active/passive sql cluster. do i still need to synchronize users and passwords?
Thanks!

So for the sqlserver-instance it's an existing db which will be detatched and reattatched, only having the files at a diffent location.
In that case, the sync is not needed.
What the sync does is mapping the db-user to the server-user. Because they are synchronized because it is an existing db for the server, there is no need to sync again

thank you so much for your quick response! I have tested this one out but just want to make sure I'm 100% sure.
