We are going to be moving our DBs onto a new server that will be running Windows 2003 & SQL 2000. We currently are running SQL 2000 on Windows 2000. Will using this new OS raise any issues issues that we need to watch out for?
TIA

You must be aware that you'll have to reconfigure microsoft transaction coordinator.
See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/839279
Otherwise I've had no issues.

We've move a number of WIN2K/SQL2K servers to WIN2K3 SP1 with no issues at all. The present count is 10 of 25 servers.

While SQL Server doesn't appear to have any obvious problems when running on Windows 2003, you should test your application on a Windows 2003 server prior to moving your production database. Just because SQL Server runs fine on Windows 2003 doesn't mean that you're out of the woods. It seems like there's always some sort of OS level permissions or stored procedure gotcha that you forget about that comes back to bite you. Always move a development/test environment prior to production!
