Few days back, I posted the following but cannot seem to find the post. here it is again.
How do I move registered server from one SQL Enterprise Manager to another. the EM is on different machines.
One of you were kind to reply with the following. The method moved the groups within EM but individual registered server does not appear on EM yet they appear in the registery. I've rebooted the machine but no success.
THE METHOD:
Open registery, by executing REGEDIT.exe
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\SQLEW\Registered Servers X
and Copy above registery to the new machine.

As I seem to remember this is a 'flaw' in SQL 2000. I have seen a few tools 'written' to perform this task but it only worked for 'simple' registrations. In other words if you grouped things by function and prod/test/dev etc, the tools generally did not work. If you find a toll that works I'm sure there will be a lot of other interested DBAs.
