Moving database

    Hi guys,

    I've tried moving my database from Server A to Server B by doing backup in Server A and restore the backup file in Server B.

    However, I got this error message when i tried to restore.

    I am running SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition on Win2K Pro. Can anyone guide me through the steps to restore my backup file on server B? I am new to this and need some advices. Thanks!

    You need to match up the correct path on the restored server.

    This is the path on the backup server.

    What you do:

    Pick the file to restore, then go to the 2nd tab of the restore dialog (options). In the grid, there are the backup files and paths. change the path and/or filename to match a valid path/filename on the restore server.
