Guys I have a sql server 2008 mirrored setup I need to move the databases over to a new set of luns. So I would like to ask what is the proper way to move mirrored db's over to a new storage unit. I assume I simply stop the mirroring do an attach detach than start mirroring back up however I'm not sure.

Sounds about right. To confirm, I would;
- remove mirroring
- remove the mirrored db in recovery
- restore a copy of the primary db on the new luns with no recovery
- resume mirroring

I didn't know you could do it that either, but saying that, you can only do it that way if you have the option of restarting your sql service which may not be a possibility for some.
