We have a script that ran fin in SQL 2000 - we have moved it to a dfferent server and now it is so slow that it won't complete in 2 days
The script is mainly creating new tables
Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution??

show us the script! 😛 ... also, how's your drive's layout: RAID type, drive partitions, etc ... how much RAM and CPU, etc

Usually a problem if you haven't updated statistics and updated usage.
It's a good idea to rebuild all indexes to be sure.
